Why 420 SEO exists
I've spent over a decade in cannabis, and I still run a cannabis ecommerce brand today. I know the compliance walls, the advertising bans, and the way cannabis buyers actually search, because I live them every day. Most people in cannabis just know me as Bike.
A couple of years ago I set out to grow my own brand the one way cannabis businesses fully own: search. I started from zero, no SEO background, no agency, no shortcuts. I learned it piece by piece and applied every bit of it to my own store. Within about a year, I'd taken that brand to page one for hundreds of keywords.
Since then, I've helped drive the search growth of the longest-running and biggest US-based cannabis seed bank, a site many times larger than my own, with far more products and keywords. Seeing the same fundamentals move the needle at that scale confirmed what I'd already proven on my own brand.
SEO is the first thing in my life I got genuinely good at, and I proved it with my own brand before turning it into a service. 420 SEO is me doing this on purpose now, for other cannabis businesses, after a year of thinking about it, finally building it.
